BIRTH DOULA (6).png

Postpartum is the time for recovery, rest, and healing after birth. In Colombia, Latin America and Asia, it’s tradition to follow a 40 days of rest approach.  The first forty weeks involve restorment, nourishment, recovery, and processing ones birth. Since life has shifted these traditions; busy life, stress, short maternity leave, and as fewer and fewer families live communally, traditional means of support become less viable. Many women are left feeling isolated and unsupported during the postpartum period.

As your doula, my goal is to empower the mother’s process of healing by supporting, nurturing, and establishing a community for women during the first forty days after birth. My offering is meant to relieve you (the mother) while you rest and cocoon with your newborn. Consider me part of your fourth-trimester support team. My role is to keep a spotlight on you, sustain you, and prevent extreme fatigue during your deep recovery. I will provide warming, restorative, plant-based foods in your home and leave you with nourishing meals that will last throughout the week, with the added bonus of being a low waste.

My services are flexible and personally catered to you as an individual.
